 The Pharmacist prefers a one-page
query, abstract, or outline of a story idea; however, we will accept all
original manuscripts that have not been published in any format and have
not been submitted previously or simultaneously to any other publication
or electronic medium. Unsolicited articles will be considered on speculation
only. Please e-mail your proposal to
edit@therph.com or mail it to:
The Pharmacist, 214 S. New Street, West Chester,

Length
As a general guideline, feature stories typically run from 2,000 to 3,000
words. Departments typically run between 800 and 1,200 words. Authors are
encouraged to submit sidebars with features.
-
References
and Sources
Facts and statements derived from other published works should be completely
and accurately referenced in the order in which they are cited in the text.
Do not list references that are not cited in the text. Provide a list of
any individuals interviewed for the article and include the interviewee's
full name, title, affiliation, address, phone number, fax number, and e-mail
address. Writers should have interview sources review final drafts for
inaccuracies and misquoting prior to submission to The
Pharmacist.
-
Artwork
Submission of photographs, charts, tables, and other graphics is encouraged.
Please submit any artwork or other graphics along with a statement of
originality. If the artwork has been previously published or is based upon
previously published material, written permission from the copyright holder
to reproduce or adapt that artwork must be submitted. All photos, tables,
and other graphics should be clearly labeled and captioned. Tables should
be numbered in order of their citation in the article. Writers should ask
interview sources if they can provide any images appropriate for the story.
If so, please specify that digital images must sent in tif format at 300dpi
resolution; in EPS format; or a hard copy glossy color print sent via regular
mail or overnight, if necessary.

Manuscript Submission
The Pharmacist prefers to receive queries and articles via e-mail as an MS
Word attachment sent to:
